Affirmations

I used to think that the posts where you affirm who you are was complete and utter bullshit. Turns out – they do help.

How do they help?

If you are like me – you have words that you say to yourself daily. These words impact how you operate and view yourself in the context of the world. Alot of negative thought will reinforce a bad self image and put you into a negative, or loss frame of mind.

What can be done?

Regularly prune and readjust your conversation with yourself. Prune the exagerations eg. I am worthless becomes I have made a mistake but all people do. What i learn from this mistake will how people view me. See how that second sentence alters your perspective and frame of mind

What am going to do?

Daily – write affirmations for myself. Eg Soy sufficiente.

Keep a record of my conversation – and look to prune, invert or exagerate what I say. This is so I can decide where I sit.

Heading into winter

Compounding is the art of building what was done yesterday.

It works both ways.

You can compound on the up 1.01 x 1.01 x 1.01 and you can compound on the way down 0.99 x 0.99 x 0.99. So the most important rule now is NOT MISS TWO DAYS IN A ROW 1.01 x 0.99 x 1.01 is the aim of the game.

Huberman suggests trying the habit for 21 days. This brings us into 4th of June – which is not too far away.

I can start these habits of creation and lose the time sinks of consuming media. It is time to create for these 21 days !
